Ingredients for Brining:
- 4 cups water
- Uncle Dibbz Top of the Line Brine,
- 2 bone-in double-cut pork chops
Ingredients for Cooking:
- Uncle Dibbz Texas Steak Rub, to taste
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 4 cloves of garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 1 cup chicken stock
Instructions:
-
Prepare the brine according to Uncle Dibbz Top of the Line Brine instructions. Make sure there's enough brine solution to fully submerge the pork chops.
-
Place the pork chops in the brine and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, but preferably overnight.
-
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
-
Remove the pork chops from the brine, rinse them under cold water, and pat them dry with paper towels.
-
Rub Uncle Dibbz Texas Steak Rub on all sides of the pork chops.
-
Heat the olive oil in a large, oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat.
-
Once the oil is hot, add the pork chops. Sear on each side for about 4-5 minutes, or until they get a nice golden-brown color.
-
Add the minced garlic to the skillet. Sauté for a minute until the garlic is fragrant.
-
Add the butter and let it melt. Using a spoon, baste the pork chops with the melted butter for a minute.
-
Pour the chicken stock into the skillet. Allow it to come to a boil.
-
Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven. Bake for 10-15 minutes, or until the pork chops reach an internal temperature of 145°F (63°C).
-
Remove the skillet from the oven (be careful, the handle will be hot). Let the pork chops rest for a few minutes.
-
Serve the pork chops with the pan sauce poured over the top. That's good Shawty!
