Servings: 4-6
Ingredients:
- 2 tbsp oil (vegetable or olive oil)
- 1 lb Italian sausage (casing removed)
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 2 celery stalks, finely chopped
- 1 green bell pepper, finely chopped
- 1 red bell pepper, finely chopped
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp Uncle Dibbz King Creole Blend
- 1 tsp Uncle Dibbz Delta Dust
- 2 cups long-grain white rice
- 4 cups chicken broth
- 1 bay leaf
- 2 green onions, chopped (for garnish)
- ¼ cup fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions:
- Heat the Pan: Place a large skillet or deep pan over medium-high heat and add oil.
- Sauté the Aromatics: Add the Italian sausage, breaking it up as it cooks. Once it starts browning, stir in the onion, celery, green bell pepper, red bell pepper, and garlic.
- Season It Up: As the mixture starts sizzling, season with Uncle Dibbz King Creole Blend and Delta Dust. Stir well to coat everything in seasoning.
- Add the Rice: Pour in the long-grain white rice and mix until fully combined with the sausage and vegetables.
- Simmer to Perfection: Add the chicken broth and bay leaf, then bring to a boil. Once boiling, reduce the heat to low, cover, and let it simmer for 25 minutes.
- Finish & Serve: Remove from heat, discard the bay leaf, and fluff the rice with a fork. Garnish with chopped green onions and fresh parsley.
