Total Time: 45 minutes

Servings: 4-6

Ingredients:

  • 2 tbsp oil (vegetable or olive oil)
  • 1 lb Italian sausage (casing removed)
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 2 celery stalks, finely chopped
  • 1 green bell pepper, finely chopped
  • 1 red bell pepper, finely chopped
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp Uncle Dibbz King Creole Blend
  • 1 tsp Uncle Dibbz Delta Dust
  • 2 cups long-grain white rice
  • 4 cups chicken broth
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 2 green onions, chopped (for garnish)
  • ¼ cup fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions:

  1. Heat the Pan: Place a large skillet or deep pan over medium-high heat and add oil.
  2. Sauté the Aromatics: Add the Italian sausage, breaking it up as it cooks. Once it starts browning, stir in the onion, celery, green bell pepper, red bell pepper, and garlic.
  3. Season It Up: As the mixture starts sizzling, season with Uncle Dibbz King Creole Blend and Delta Dust. Stir well to coat everything in seasoning.
  4. Add the Rice: Pour in the long-grain white rice and mix until fully combined with the sausage and vegetables.
  5. Simmer to Perfection: Add the chicken broth and bay leaf, then bring to a boil. Once boiling, reduce the heat to low, cover, and let it simmer for 25 minutes.
  6. Finish & Serve: Remove from heat, discard the bay leaf, and fluff the rice with a fork. Garnish with chopped green onions and fresh parsley.
