New Orleans Style Charbroiled Oysters
Ingredients:
- 2 dozen fresh oysters, shucked on the half shell
- 1 1/2 cups unsalted butter
- 8 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup finely chopped parsley
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 tablespoons Uncle Dibbz Delta Dust seasoning
- Lemon wedges, for serving
- Crusty bread, for serving
Oven Version:
- Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 500°F.

Prepare the Garlic Butter Sauce:
- In a saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat.
- Add the minced garlic and cook for about 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
- Stir in the Uncle Dibbz Delta Dust seasoning and chopped parsley. Remove from heat.
- Arrange the Oysters: Place the shucked oysters on a wire rack set over a baking sheet to keep them stable.
- First Cook: Place the oysters in the oven and cook for 1-2 minutes.
- Add Butter Sauce: Remove the oysters from the oven and generously spoon the garlic butter mixture over each oyster.
- Second Cook: Return the oysters to the oven and cook for another 2-3 minutes.
- Add Cheese and Broil: Remove the oysters from the oven, sprinkle grated Parmesan cheese on top, and then broil for an additional 1-2 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and slightly golden.
- Serve: Carefully remove the oysters from the oven. Let them cool slightly before serving. Serve with lemon wedges and crusty bread.
Charcoal Grill Version:
- Prepare the Grill: Preheat your charcoal grill to high heat. Ensure the coals are hot and ashed over.

- First Cook: Grill the oysters for 1-2 minutes directly over the heat.

- Second Cook: Return the oysters to the grill and cook for another 2-3 minutes.
