Ingredients:
- 1 bunch of kale, stemmed and cut into pieces
- 1 bunch of fresh collard greens, stemmed and cut into pieces
- 1 smoked turkey leg
- 1 large onion, chopped
- 4 cloves of garlic, minced
- 4 cups of chicken broth
- 2 tablespoons of Delta Dust Blackened Seasoning
- 2 tablespoons of olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions:
-
Prep Greens: Remove the stems from the kale and collard greens and tear them into bite-sized pieces.
-
Sauté and Season Aromatics: In a large pot, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and garlic. Sauté until translucent. Season the aromatics with a pinch of Delta Dust Blackened Seasoning.
-
Add Turkey and Broth: Place the smoked turkey leg into the pot. Add the chicken broth. Bring the liquid to a gentle boil, then reduce the heat to medium-low.
-
Simmer: Cover the pot and let the turkey simmer for about 30 minutes to infuse the broth with its smoky flavor.
-
Add Greens: Uncover the pot and add in the torn kale and collard greens. Sprinkle in 2 tablespoons of Delta Dust Blackened Seasoning, stirring to distribute it evenly. Stir to combine.
-
Cook Uncovered: Continue cooking the greens uncovered on medium to medium-low heat for about 40 minutes, stirring occasionally. Add additional broth if the pot gets too dry.
-
Check Seasoning: Taste the greens and adjust with salt and pepper, or more Delta Dust Blackened Seasoning, if needed.
-
Remove Turkey Leg: Once the greens are tender, remove the turkey leg. You can shred some of the meat to add back into the greens, if you like.
-
Serve: Dish out the greens into serving bowls. That's good Shawty!

I love your cooking . I want to purchase a skillet like the one you use. It looks heavier than the one I’m using
