HOT! Honey Lemon Pepper Wet Chicken Sandwich
Ingredients
For the chicken marinade
- 3 boneless skinless chicken thighs
- 3 cups buttermilk
- 1/2 cup of Uncle Dibbz Atlanta Lemon Pepper HOT!
For Breading
- 2 cups flour
- 1/2 cup of Uncle Dibbz Atlanta Lemon Pepper HOT!
Wet Sauce
- ½ cup melted butter (unsalted)
- 1 teaspoon hot sauce
- 1 teaspoon of honey
- 1/2 tsp of Uncle Dibbz Atlanta Lemon Pepper HOT!
TO ASSEMBLE
- 3 medium-sized brioche buns
- Mayonnaise
- Sliced pickles
- 3-4 cups peanut oil for frying
Instructions
To Marinate Chicken

In a large bowl add the chicken, buttermilk, hot sauce, Uncle Dibbz Atlanta Lemon Pepper HOT! Mix, cover and place in the fridge to marinate up to 24 hours or use right away.
To Cook Chicken

Heat oil in a large heavy-duty skillet or pot on medium temperature or until the temperature reaches 350F.

In a medium shallow bowl, whisk the flour, and Uncle Dibbz Atlanta Lemon Pepper HOT!Working with 1 piece at a time, dredge chicken the flour mixture and press flour on the top chicken to form a thick crust. Transfer chicken to a cooling rack and let stand for 20-30 mins.
- Place chicken into hot oil and fry for 3-5 minutes per side or until the outside is crispy and golden and the internal temperature reaches 165F.
To Make Wet Sauce
- Place ingredients in a sauce pan, heat on low and mix to combine. Set aside
To Assemble
- Toss fried chicken thighs in the wet sauce mixture. Set aside

Melt 1 tablespoon butter in a large saucepan and toast buns face down until golden and crisp.
- Add mayo to bottom bun, then add pickles, chicken and top with bun. That's good Shawty!
