Homemade Buffalo Wing Sauce

Made with Uncle Dibbz HXT Sauce

Servings

Makes enough sauce for about 2 pounds of wings (roughly 12 to 20 wings, depending on size).

Prep Time

5 minutes

Cook Time

Varies based on wing method (baked, fried, grilled, or air fried).

Ingredients

For the Wings

  • 2 pounds chicken wings, cooked using your preferred method

For the Buffalo Sauce

  • 1 stick unsalted butter (8 tablespoons)
  • 1/2 cup Uncle Dibbz HXT Sauce
  • Optional 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Optional 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • Optional pinch of cayenne for extra heat

Instructions

  1. Cook your wings using your preferred method until fully cooked and hot. This sauce works with baked, fried, grilled, or air fried wings.
  2. While the wings are cooking, make the sauce. Add butter to a small saucepan over medium low heat and let it melt completely.
  3. Once the butter is melted, pour in the HXT Sauce. Add garlic powder, black pepper, or cayenne if using.
  4. Whisk until smooth and fully combined. Keep warm over low heat. Do not boil.
  5. Transfer hot wings to a large mixing bowl. Pour the sauce over the wings and toss until fully coated.
  6. Serve immediately while hot.

Notes and Tips

  • The key ratio is one part butter to two parts hot sauce.
  • Toss wings while they are hot so the sauce coats evenly.
  • For a slightly thicker sauce, let it simmer gently for 1 to 2 minutes.
  • For milder wings, add a bit more butter. For hotter wings, add a splash more HXT Sauce.
