Ingredients:
- 1.5 pounds large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 3 tablespoons Uncle Dibbz Memphis Bussin' BBQ Rub
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- Wooden or metal skewers (if wooden, soak in water for at least 30 minutes before use)
For the BBQ Sauce:
- 1 cup ketchup
- 1/2 cup apple cider vinegar
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons Uncle Dibbz Memphis Bussin' BBQ Rub
Instructions:
-
Start by preheating your grill to medium-high heat.
-
In a large bowl, toss the shrimp with the olive oil and 3 tablespoons of Uncle Dibbz Memphis Bussin' BBQ Rub. Ensure all shrimp are well coated.
-
If using wooden skewers, make sure they have been soaked in water for at least 30 minutes to prevent them from burning. Thread the shrimp onto the skewers.
-
To make the BBQ sauce, combine the ketchup, apple cider vinegar, brown sugar, and 2 tablespoons of Uncle Dibbz Memphis Bussin' BBQ Rub in a saucepan over medium heat. Stir until the sugar is completely dissolved and the sauce starts to thicken slightly. This should take about 5-7 minutes. Remove the sauce from the heat and set aside.
-
Place the shrimp skewers on the preheated grill. Cook for about 2-3 minutes on each side, or until the shrimp are opaque and cooked through.
-
In the last minute of grilling, brush some of the BBQ sauce onto the shrimp, then flip and brush the other side. Be careful to not let the sauce burn.
-
Once the shrimp are fully cooked, remove them from the grill.
-
Serve the grilled BBQ shrimp with the remaining BBQ sauce on the side for dipping. You can pair this dish with a fresh salad, grilled vegetables, or any side dish of your choice. That's good Shawty!
